A greenhouse is a structure with walls and roof made chiefly of transparent material, such as glass, in which plants requiring regulated climatic conditions are grown. The interior heats up because incoming solar radiation from the sun warms plants, soil, and other things inside the building faster than heat can escape the structure. Air warmed by the heat from hot interior surfaces is retained in the building by the roof and wall.
A Low Tunnel is a tunnel typically made from steel and covered in polythene, usually semi circular, square or elongated in shape and low in height. Temperature, Humidity and ventilation can be controlled by equipment fixed in the Low Tunnel or by manual opening and closing of vents. low tunnels are miniature structures producing greenhouse like effect. These tunnels facilitate the entrapment of carbon dioxide and humidity.Low tunnels are less expensive as compared to the High tunnels but crop yield is low. Soil preparation, spraying and picking is difficult in this type of tunnel. Cucumber, melons, watermelons, bitter gourds, squashes, and snake gourds etc. can be grown in this type of tunnels.
Walk In Tunnels
A Walk in Tunnel is a tunnel typically made from steel and covered in polyethylene, usually semi-circular, square or elongated in shape. These are lower in height as compared to High tunnels. Walk-in-tunnels provide high yield compared to Low tunnel. The tunnel is suitable for growing tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet pepper and hot pepper.
High Tunnels are an increasingly popular trend for growers and a proven technology for crop production. The term “high tunnel” is a loosely defined phrase for heightened tunnels greater than 8 ft. high. And it is the difference between a High Tunnel and a regular free-standing greenhouse. Muliti Span Tunnel
Multispan is a multi-purpose greenhouse structure with vertical sides and interconnected gutters which can be used for a variety of crops. Due to the high roof, it is easier to control the temperature. It can be covered with plastic, Polyethylene or rigid polycarbonate sheeting. We offer various sizes and can manufacture to the specification as well.
